Huma Qureshi debut in Bollywood film ‘Gngs of Wasseypur’ since after that she appeared in much similar movies and played roles like her first movie, like Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, Ek Thi Daayan and D-Day but after that she appeared with Akshay Kumar in 2017 movie Jolly LLB 2 which changed her image. Although Huma Qureshi set a stereotype image with her film roles, but now Huma Qureshi is in such a condition that she want to do something change. Huma Qureshi says now she can’t compromise on content and can’t do boring films anymore.
Huma Qureshi said,”I know that when you do similar kind of films, one after the other, people tend to stereotype and say ‘she is only good at this’. But then a project like Jolly breaks the notion. So, that’s what my strategy has been. I make it a point to pick films that tell you a story in an engaging way, I can’t compromise on the content. The script has to be substantial and impactful. I just cannot do a boring film. It has to be interesting with a good character. Whether it comes through a Jolly or Gangs of Wasseypur, I will prefer to do stuff with good makers and co-stars.” Huma Qureshi upcoming film is ‘Kaala’ which is a Tamil action movie stars Rajnikanth in lead role. The movie cast includes Rajnikanth, Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakai, Anjali Patil and Nana Patekar. While Kaala release date is 14th April, 2018. It is expected that Huma Qureshi new movie will be a super hit film, but the actress says it only knows by God as she added,”Whether my film becomes commercially successful or not, only God can tell, or the box-office numbers. So why worry about it and get distracted? It’s in nobody’s hands. So I’d rather focus on reading more scripts and bagging better projects.”
